Wiedenmann Enters New Premium Market Segment
First Terra Core 8 delivered to India

With the first delivery of the new Terra Core 8 aerator to India, Wiedenmann GmbH is sending a strong signal for its international expansion in the field of professional turf care. The machine was handed over to the renowned Jaypee Greens Golf Course, where it is now in intensive use.

For the Swabian manufacturer, this marks not only an important reference site in Asia, but also entry into a growing market with increasing quality demands in the golf and sports turf sector.

The Terra Core 8, Wiedenmann’s latest innovation presented at the most recent Demopark, is an attachment specifically developed for high-quality aeration of natural turf, designed for carrier vehicles with rear three-point linkage. With a working width of 195 cm and a variably adjustable working depth from 40 to 100 mm in precise 5 mm increments, the machine is tailored to professional users with the highest expectations in terms of area performance and maintenance quality. The focus is on treating the upper ten centimeters of the turf layer, a crucial zone for playability and turf vitality.

A key technical feature is the uniform, square hole pattern with a density of up to 270 holes per square meter. This intensive aeration improves gas exchange in the soil, enhances water absorption, and creates optimal conditions for the incorporation of sand and nutrients. Especially under climatic conditions such as those in northern India, where heat periods and compacted soils can affect turf quality, this technology offers clear advantages. The integrated “Vibra-Stop” system significantly reduces vibrations, ensuring greater operator comfort and less strain on the carrier vehicle. The system is complemented by a wide range of accessories, including hold-down devices, windrowing systems, trailing rollers, and various tool holders.

Jaypee Greens Golf Course in Greater Noida is one of the leading golf facilities in the country. Designed by former world-class player Greg Norman, the course meets international standards and regularly hosts high-profile tournaments. The facility exemplifies the increasing professionalization of golf in India. Particularly in the context of rapidly growing metropolitan regions, golf is becoming an increasingly important component of high-quality leisure activities in the world’s most populous country.

By choosing the Terra Core 8, the golf club is making a targeted investment in state-of-the-art maintenance technology to meet rising demands for playing quality and sustainability. At the same time, Wiedenmann benefits from close cooperation with its local partner SGDC India, which supports the market introduction and ensures effective knowledge transfer.

Following recent restructuring, Wiedenmann continues to push forward with further developments: in February, the company introduced the Terra Core M6, its first walk-behind aerator.
