New aerifier from Wiedenmann

A broad cross-section will be on display at Demopark 2025, some of which will also be demonstrated. The Terra Core 8, a special machine for high-quality aerification of natural turf, will be on show for the first time.

The new machine is the first of its kind from the Swabian manufacturer, which has worked its way up to almost world-class status in 60 years. One of the reasons for this is the high area coverage and work quality of the machines. The new attachment for vehicles with a rear three-point linkage is no exception.

270 holes per square meter

The Terra Core 8 is the industry’s latest maintenance machine for the top ten centimetres of turf. Its aeration with hollow or full tines is designed to improve gas exchange and pave the way for the installation of fresh sand. The working range from 10 to 40 cm has so far been the manufacturer’s domain. The aim there is to break up compaction and improve water drainage. Looseners are also often used for aerating, especially as Wiedenmann offers numerous tines for finely graded work. However, this class of machine is designed for the highest demands and is therefore often one size too big.

The new aerator offers a working width of 195 cm and enables working depths of 40 to 100 mm, which can be manually adjusted in steps of 5 mm. The Terra Core 8 thus achieves a square hole pattern with a uniform density of 270 holes/m2. The Vibra-Stop system, familiar from Wiedenmann’s depth looseners, is integrated: It is designed to keep the majority of vibrations away from the carrier vehicle and the operator. And, as always, there is a wide range of accessories, such as a hold-down device, swathing device, trailing roller and special tool holders.

Almost all device classes on site

As one of the major exhibitors at the Eisenach-Kindel airfield, Wiedenmann will be showing other equipment for upstream and downstream maintenance work on leisure, sports and golf turf. For example, the Core Recycler for collecting and recycling the soil cones excavated during aerification or deep loosening: a genuine innovation and cutting-edge technology that is only available from Wiedenmann. The machines on display cover practically all common jobs in the green area, including artificial turf, and are supplemented by machines for leaf, dirt and snow removal through to gritting. Cost-conscious decision-makers will be interested in the manufacturer’s many combined solutions, which can be used to achieve high productivity.
